Brian's extensive artistic experience has allowed him to take on many leadership roles, including teacher, director, and arranger.

 

• Brian teaches lessons voice, guitar, bass guitar, and piano lessons at Talent Tree Creative Arts in Hudson. His students have been accepted for music and/or dramatic study and won scholarships to Westminster Choir College, Berklee, Marymount Manhattan, Capital University, Slippery Rock University, Grove City College, and others. ​​

 

• Brian was the artistic/musical director for two musical productions at Archbishop Hoban HS in Akron: Godspell (2012 Version) and Oklahoma!  For Godspell, Brian oversaw an innovative production that emphasized the difficulties created by 21st-century communication, while carefully budgeting limited funds to make improvements to the school's lighting capabilities. For Oklahoma!, Brian directed a lavish production that celebrated the show's 75th anniversary with the largest cast in the school's history, accompanied by a 21-piece orchestra, which he hired, rehearsed, and conducted.

 

• Brian served as the Event Manager/Staff Member in Charge for the 2018 Summer Season at Porthouse Theatre, a professional URTA summer stock company affiliated with Kent State University that utilizes the grounds of Blossom Music Center. Brian supervised a dedicated team of mostly student workers to ensure patron safety and comfort for Porthouse's tens of thousands of annual patrons.

 

• Brian previously served as the Chancel Choir Director and Alternative Worship service leader at Trinity United Methodist Church in Orrville, OH. As Alternative Worship service leader, Brian helped to oversee the design, planning, launch and upkeep of the new Kindling worship service, where he served as director, lead vocalist and guitarist for the church’s worship band, Revive.

 

• Brian co-founded and assistant-directed the Hill Youth Chorale, a touring music ministry for teens and twenty-somethings that toured to New York City, Washington DC, and San Fransisco, performed at Walt Disney World and participated in workshops with artists such as Broadway performer Wallace Smith and Chanticleer director Joseph Jennings. Brian orchestrated an arrangement of “What Child is This?” for the Chorale to sing at a joint concert with the Butler Symphony.

 

• Brian served as the vocal director for Medina High School’s 2015 production of Grease. The school paid extra royalties to obtain the right to perform songs from the movie version of Grease, but no parts were provided for the pit, so using the provided piano music, Brian created guitar, bass, sax, and drum parts. Brian also played guitar in the pit orchestra.
